A Celebration Rooted in Community and Culinary Excellence

ABOUT THE FETE

Bray Village Fête isn’t just any village fête — it’s set in one of the UK’s most unique food destinations. Bray is home to an extraordinary collection of renowned restaurants, including The Fat Duck, The Hinds Head, Caldesi in Campagna, Monkey Island Estate and The Crown, all of whom bring their flair and flavour to the day.

Last year’s event brought together over 700 attendees, and raised £9000 for local causes. With live entertainment, local makers, classic cars, children’s games, and a food court that reflects Bray’s celebrated culinary scene, the 2025 fête promises a lively, high-quality community experience like no other.

This year’s event will feature live music from local bands, dance performances, interactive art projects, a petting farm, classic cars, and the ever-popular Dog Show. Attendees can enjoy the Bray Food Court featuring local and Michelin-star fare, take part in children’s races, tug of war, and family games, or explore our creative market stalls.

New for this year is the Bray Fête Passport challenge, encouraging all our visitors to explore every corner of the fête for a prize. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or returning for more, the fête is your chance to enjoy the best of Bray — food, fun, and community — in one joyful, family-friendly event.

Team

Our Organisers

Joanna Korczak

A dedicated community leader, Chair of Bray Village Fête, a Parish Councillor and a trustee of Bray Village Hall. With a track record of leading successful local initiatives, she brings a wealth of organisational and civic experience to the role.

After relocating to Bray, Joanna embraced the vibrant local community and immersed herself in its development. Her commitment to the area is reflected in both her leadership at the Fete and her active civic involvement.

A natural collaborator, Joanna continues to drive positive change in Bray — bringing people together, overseeing event operations, and fostering cultural enrichment.

Chris Graham

Chris has lived in Bray Village since 1995 and was a Bray Parish Councillor for 20 years, holding all the key roles. He has been involved in Bray’s entry in the RHS Britain in Bloom competition. His interests include sailing, good wine, good food, old cars, growing-your-own vegetables and local history.

Alexandra Watson

I’ve lived in Bray for nearly three years. It’s a small community, but one with a big heart. I try to get involved wherever I can. Everyone here has been so welcoming, it’s my pleasure to pitch in and help make the fête something special for all of us.

Marek Korczak

After extensive travels around Britain, Bray is the place my family and I now call home.

I took on the role of Site Manager for the Fete to ensure that creative energy, digital presence, security, and smooth operations can coexist for the benefit of the community.

In my free time, you’ll find me rowing on the Thames, cycling, or hiking in Wales

Mike Charleton

I have lived in Bray for over 30 years and been a Trustee at Bray Village Hall for nearly 25 years, when it was suggested the Fete be reinstated I volunteered to help as a founding core member, mainly as Treasurer but also to put procedures and ideas in place which hopefully will help the fete continue for many years to come!

Saloni Radia

I’ve lived in Bray for over 10 years and brought my children up here. It’s always great fun and so rewarding to work on events like the fete that bring the village together.

Sheena Jenkins

I’m Sheena, Trustee of Bray Village Hall. I love being involved in the planning and delivery of our now annual fete. Helping to build our community and make new friends.

Paula Killoran

I’m Paula, owner of Bray Hair Studio, proudly serving this community for 22 years. We’ve nurtured more than just hair – we’ve cared for the high street’s flowers and village commemorative poppies. I’m delighted to give back to this community that’s welcomed and supported me like family.

Jemma Westbury

Hi! I’m Jemma, and I’ve been part of this wonderful village community for over 15 years. I truly love the sense of togetherness we share, which is why I’m excited to be organizing this year’s dog show at the village fete. Join me and our furry friends for a fun-filled day of celebration!

Shazia Ahmad

I’ve lived in this area for over 25 years: four years in Bray and more than 20 in Holyport before that. One thing I have always loved is the village fairs. They’re such a great way to catch up with everyone! Especially in Bray, where you can go for weeks without seeing your neighbours, the fair feels like a big, happy get-together. Last year’s fair was such a fun day and a real highlight of village life which we would like to see return as an annual event.

Dolly Singh

I moved to Bray from Canada just over a year ago, and it has quickly become a warm and welcoming place I now call home. This marks my second year being involved with the Bray Fête, a wonderful event that brings the village together. Through it, l’ve had the pleasure of connecting with a phenomenal community of people who make this place truly special.

The Revd Andy Medlicott

I’m the curate at St Michael’s, working closely with Ainsely and serving all those who live in Bray and the surrounding parish. I’ve been here for four years, and though I live in Bracknell and have to ‘commute in’ I have felt very much adopted by everyone here in Bray and have found it a wonderful welcoming community! I’ve a few duties on the Sunday morning but you’ll see me at the fete midday onwards 😀

Richard & Cheryl Bailey

We are an Australian couple who moved to the UK in 2020 and made Bray their home in 2021.

We’ve volunteered for the Bray Queens Jubilee celebration in 2022 and the Kings Coronation celebration & fete in 2023 and the Bray Village Fete in 2024.

Richard is a trustee of the Bray Village Hall and can be found at the Bray Village Hall coffee mornings when rostered helping as a Barista.

Amanda Proctor

I’ve lived in the village for just over 20 years and am a trustee of the Village Hall. I remember Bray fête and what great fun it was. I’m so pleased it’s back and I’m very happy I can get involved.
